Starbucks at Home // Passion Tea Lemonade

Starbucks is life. Am I right? But do I have the kind of job to support buying $4 drinks to kick start my day? NO WAY! One of my all time favs from Starbucks is their Passion Tea Lemonade. 

SO here I give you, the first edition of Starbucks at Home

ft. Passion Tea Lemonade.

YOU WILL NEED: 

 A Holder for your beverage!

(Fun Fact: I am OBSESSED! with these Mason Jar drink holders! I got mine at Fred Meyer for $5) 

Minute Maid Lemonade!

These little cans are PERFECT for making one serving, but the big bottle works too! 

Passion Tea! 

I LOVE the Tazo brand (Starbucks uses this brand). It was about $5 for this box which makes 48 servings! LOOK AT YOU SAVING MONEY! You can find this brand at literally every grocery store, and also Walmart & Target. Mine is from Fred Meyer. 

DIRECTIONS: 

1) Bring Fresh Water to a Boil

2) Pour Boiling Water over the TeaBag until pitcher (32 oz) is full

3) Let it sit for 5ish minutes and then remove the bag

4)Refrigerate the tea ( 30ish minutes) 

5) When you are ready to serve, or ready to go, fill your beverage container with half lemonade, half tea! (Add more Lemonade or Tea to desired taste)

6) Sip & Enjoy!

STORY TIME! So today after a little Pre-Black Friday Shopping, I came home realizing that all I bought were TWO, jackets from Bench USA. I also realized that I was wearing one, and have a vest and another jacket on a hanger in my closet! 

The obsession is real my friends.

I wear this everywhere! Super comfy and goes with tons! Dress it up with a scarf or wear it over your fav. sweatshirt! Fun Fact: Its water repellent, which is  another reason I ♥ it SOOO much! 

Downside is it only comes in black, but hey black goes with EVERYTHING! Right?

I've had mine for about a year now! Being a college kid, this is my LIFESAVER! Its cute and super easy to throw over any outfit. The description says wind and water repellent, and honestly sometimes those are not the truth, but they ARE NOT lying! I love this to death!

Ok so I have no idea why its called a BBQ jacket, but the American in me would SO wear this to a cheeseburger eating and beer drinking fest. Haha, but anyway! This is the other of my latest purchases! More of wind breaker than a "coat " but super cute and great to have for those weird rainy sunny days! Up here in WA, there are TONS of those!

I ♥ No Heat Curls!

Everyone is looking for ways to keep their hair happy & healty these day! This is one of my all time favorite ways to stay away from the curling iron! Enjoy!

The Headband Method: 

1) Brush your hair and get it a bit damp

2) Place a cloth headband around your head ( BANDANA'S WORK TOO!)

3) Make your hair into sections

4) Wrap the sections around the headband multiple times

5) Continue this ALL THE WAY around your head

6) Leave it in for 4 hours (TIP: If you sleep with this in it works GREAT) 

THE LONGER YOU LEAVE IT IN THE BETTER THE CURLS 

7) Gently unwrap hiar! 

And WHA LAH! No heat curls!

I ♥ Pentatonix

Meet Pentatonix, a fun, fresh, quinet, a capella group! Never heard of them?

Well, NOW YOU HAVE! 

They are absolutely fabulous! With members Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonaldo, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin "K.O" Olusola, they bring a new twist to the music scene! Down to earth, funky, and not afraid to be themselves Pentatonix is easliy one of my top 10 favorite bands to listen to! 

Pentatonix won NBC's The Sing Off, in season 3. Since then they have three albums out, PTX Vol, I, Vol. II, and Vol. III as well as PTXmas, and their latest That's Christmas to Me! Which I honestly bought the day it came out and have been listening to on repeat! ( YOU SHOULD BUY IT) 

They have done several collaborations with Lindsey Stirling (check her out too! She is FAB), and written a bunch of medlys. They have a unqiue sound and a fantastic talent! I can not say enough good things about them!

10 Fun & Affordable Winter Dates

Its that time of year! Starbucks came out with their Christmas cups, Instagram is full of all these cute couples, and suddenly you are starting to feel a little bummed out! 

Well, have no fear! Here are 10 FUN FABULOUS & AFFORDABLE WINTER DATES, that you and your special someone will love! 

Christmas is my favorite time of year! Enjoy!

1. Can't Catch Me Im The Gingerbread Man: Remember when you were 7 and it was SO MUCH FUN to throw frosting and candy on a cookie house and call it art (or a snack)? Why not recreate that fun again! Make it a competition or a game! Take pics and put them on instagram! 

    2. Oh What Fun It is to Ride In a One Horse Open Sleigh: There is nothing more romantic          than snuggling up close to eachother, and being driven around the city (or town) in the back of a horse drawn carriage. Everywhere has got them during the holiday season. Prices vary between $5-$10 dollars, sometimes based on how long you want to ride! Super fun and super cute! 

   3. Snow Glows White On The Mountain Tonight: Take a trip up to the mountains! There is TONS to see and do! Skining, Snowboarding, Innertubing (my fav!), Sledding, and Snowshoeing! Go for a wintery hike, or climb. Get outside and have fun! Grab hot chocolate afterward! 

    4. Power Outage?: Dinner by candelight? Ghost stories? Glow stick jewlery? Cuddling by the fire? YES PLEASE! Make smores and just talk about life. Plenty of "fun in the dark" if ya know what I mean! ;) 

    5. O' Christmas Tree: Head out to your local Christmas Tree farm! (You don't have to buy anything!) Get lost in the fields of trees! They usually have cute holiday shops on site! Buy a tree or some cute ornaments and enjoy eachothers company! Cute kisses in the tress! LOVE IT!

   6. Light Up My Life: Drive around and look at all the cute holiday lights set up in your neighboorhood (or around the area). Sometimes local Zoo's set up lights in their exhibits, or local parks set up displays. Prices vary for events but relatively inexpensive! Romantic, thoughtful, and super fun! Instagram worhty! 

  7. Christmas Cookies Got Me Like:  Tell me you have never wanted your own little romantic montage! Well now you can! Grab the baking supplies, turn on some Christmas tunes (Michale Buble, or Pentatonix Christmas Albums ♥), and have at it! Instagram cute pics! Spontaneous kisses in the middle of it. Frosting eachothers noses? Christmas cookie are a MUST! 

  

  8. Gone Skatin'? Check out your local skating rink! Sometimes they have night skates with fun music! Why not go ice skating together. Falling on eachother all night, gliding around the ice! Why not! 

   9. Netflix It Is! Nexflix dates make me happy. Pick all your favorite Christmas movies, wear your cute Christmas pjs and cuddle next to the TV with some hot chocolate! Cheap and totally romantic! 

  10. Santa, I want Love 4 Christmas: Hit up your local mall, and get cute pictures with Santa! Then do your Christmas shopping together! Perfect way to spend your afternoon!

Hey guys! So its that time of year, and besides Pumpink Spice lattes and Peppermint Mocha's, my favorite thing about this fallish winter time is FLANNELS!

Throw your fav flannel on over a chic graphic tee, and some leggings. Add your fav sneakers and your set! Works with jeans too! 

NUMBER TWO, around and around

Edge up look #1 by wrapping your flannel around your waist! What started out as a hip hop dancer thing has spread into the latest trend. Whatever look your going for throw tying a flannel around your waist can surely give you the extra edge.

THREE, classy & sassy

The great thing about flannels? They go with pretty much everything! Try a flannel with a skirt or over a dress! Dress it up and add fun earrings or necklaces! Flannels can be sassy & classy too! 

FOUR, boots be like 

Short boots, tall boots, midi boots, cowboy boots? All boots go great with flannels! From UGGS to knee highs! Don't be afraid to rock boots with your flannel!

Top 5 Stuyding Tips

 Wednesday? Wed-nes-day? Calculus-Midterm-And-Advanced-Chemistry-Test-Day?

Why yes, yes it is.

I thought I would enlighten you guys on 5 things to make studying just a little easier!

1) COMFY CLOTHES! 

I don't think I can stress this enough! You are more relaxed and it will be easier to study if you aren't worried about your outfit or how you look. 

2) MINIMIZE DISTRACTIONS

I personally like a little background noise, like people talking in a coffee shop, or my roomates going to and from a room. Complete silence is a no-no for me! So I try and minimize distractions. I don't use my phone, or if my phone is near me I turn on the "do not disturb" or put it on "air plane mode", that way I can focus on my work!

3) MUSIC + STUDYING = A+

MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC! Definetly pick something that gets you pumped up and in the mood to do work! I reccomend instrumentals (because they don't have words you like to belt out) but songs with words you don't know so well are a good option too!

I reccomend: The Piano Guys, or Lindsey Stirling, if you are looking for a fun instruemntal! 

4) COLOR IS KEY

Literally this is a picture of my desk. I have a rainbow of hilighters, 234098340 million different colored pens. I color code my classes, and make sure my eyes go to the important stuff. If you buy your text books, HILIGHT IN THEM. It will help so much! 

5) SET GOALS

Set a MAIN goal, like to get an A+ on the test or Midterm, and then set smaller goals to help you achieve it! Like studying everyday for 20 mins, or reward yourself everytime you finish a goal! As annoying as it is keeping your goal in mind will help you reach it!
